Amstel Malta, via the Amstel Malta Showtime activation, committed to delivering a premium, It was a unique talent show for consumers. Amstel Malta created a distinct platform that would bring together young, fresh talents and the established stars. Talented individuals slugged it out in singing, dancing and comedy competitions. They were truly presented with an opportunity to showcase their talents and share the stage with their favourtie artists.

Showtime was held at Ibada, Benin, Port-harcourt, and Owerri in 2012.

The events featured some of the top artistes in the country with crooner, Flavour and the duo of Peter and Paul of P Square performing in Port Harcourt while Davido and Naeto C were the major acts in Benin.

In Ibadan, Ace rapper, MI, was at his best as he thrilled the audience with several tracks from his albums including: Anoti, Undisputed Champion, Beef, One Naira, Nobody, My Head, My Belle and others. Alapomeji exponent, 9ice was no less impressive as he got the audience dancing to hits like Gongo Aso, Attitude, Photocopy but to mention a few. Laffup, the comedian of the day, certainly did his reputation no harm with his hilarious jokes.

Owerri had the likes of entertainers including P-Square and Naeto C, who will thrilled the audience with their hit tracks. It wasnot only music and dance alone as the audience were treated to rib cracking comedy from top comic, Gandoki. Entertainer Darey 'Art' Alade was also present as the anchor of the event. Impressive dance group, Outrage, also completed the lineup that performed on the night.

Speaking on the occasion, Flavour commended Nigerian Breweries Plc, manufacturers of Amstel Malta, organizers of the event, stating that the unique activation will encourage the youths to aspire to greater heights.

The competition saw Owomoyela Oluwatobi Peteru from The Polytechnic Ibadan, Dozie Mbata, a 400 level student of Theatre Arts at the University of Ibadan and Onome Ilovhogie, also a 400 level Sociology student of the University of Lagos, emerging winners in the singing, dancing and comedy categories respectively during the talent hunt competitions.

The winners all won for themselves, a cash prize of N500,000 each, along with brand new iPads and an all-expense paid weekend getaway to Lagos for two. The first and second runners up got the sum of N150,000 and N100,000 respectively.

After Ibadan, the show will move to the city of Lagos on October 5 where Tuface Idibia and Wiz Kid will draw the curtain on Amstel Malta Showtime for 2012.
