The 3rd season of Amstel Malta Showtime would certainly remain an unforgettable experience in the minds of everyone that came out to be a part of the explosive experience in Enugu on the 29th of August and in Lagos on the 18th of September.

The first of its kind concert drama tagged “The Rush” was as electrifying as it could get with various artistic displays by ballerinas, jugglers, singers, actors, dancers, fire eaters, instrumentalists, comedians e.t.c put together to deliver an exceptional theatrical performance.

The concert drama, which was staged in Golden Royale Hall in Enugu and Unilag indoor Sport Hall in Lagos, was themed around a young man’s journey to success and featured the selected five talents from the auditions in both states.

They include:

Enugu- A harmonica player, a dancer, a singer/voice-over artist, a guitarist and a drama group of six.

Lagos- A Singing duo (male and female); Instrumentalist duo (a violinist and a guitarist), Dance team of four, a comedian and a rapper.

These talents starred alongside renowned Nigerian entertainers, Sound Sultan, Phyno, Gordons, art director, Ice Nweke, celebrated dancer, Ukalina, lead actor, Brian and a host of others and also took home with them cash prizes.

In a very interesting twist, a few other talents who were exceptional but not enough to make it to the top five slots and win the cash prize, had the chance of performing alongside the entertainers.

Sound Sultan who revealed he was very impressed with both editions, expressed his pleasure at how the talents were able to perfect their roles within two days of rehearsals. “ Myself, Ice and Gordons mentored these talents within just two days and to our greatest satisfaction they played their roles excellently well, that you would almost not believe they had just two days to rehearse”, he said.

According to Amstel Malta Brand Manager, Hannatu Ageni-Yusuf, Amstel Malta is very thrilled at the reception of the concert drama concept. “This edition of Amstel Malta Showtime has been the most explosive we’ve ever had and we are very glad as a brand that we decided to do this. We thought of a way to give young talents a better opportunity to showcase themselves, rather than just compete and walk home with cash prizes. The mentorship sessions were intense and we are confident that this experience will help launch these talents to the right path in their careers” said Hannatu.

Amstel Malta, promises to keep supporting these young talents in every way possible as they continue on their journey to success.
